Isabella {Wallington, Surrey}: Newborn Baby Photographer

She tried her best not to sleep, but we got there in the end.

Baby Isabella | 6 weeks

Newborn photography is usually recommended for between Day 5 and Day 10 (or thereabouts) – this is usually so baby still sleeps lots, and is still more easily bendable/mouldable like they were in the womb. As they get older, they are more likely to sleep less deeply, disturb and wake more easily when posed and of course some of the very squishy poses (always done safely) become a little harder to achieve.. not always impossible, but more difficult. Understandably it’s not always possible to get a session scheduled within the early days (baby’s arrive way earlier then expected or some may have longer hospital stays) but where possible we try to book a provisional date in for you 10 days after the estimated due date and then move this as needed once baby has arrived. Don’t delay, please book your session early (yes, even from 20 weeks on in your pregnancy) or get in touch as soon as you can. If I have availability I’m always happy to accommodate a session last minute, but get in touch as soon as you can please.
