Maternity Portrait Photography

My aim is to ensure you have beautiful photographs showing off the precious life you have growing within you so that you may treasure these for years to come. I love it when my clients are relaxed, have fun and enjoy their portrait sessions.

For your maternity portrait session, I would recommend you book this in for around 6 weeks before your due date (ie. 32-36 weeks pregnant just in case little one decides to arrive early) although it can be done at any stage. This is also when your bump will have grown beautifully, and you’ll hopefully not be too uncomfortable or tired. You may choose to include your partner, your child/children or you can bring a girl friend or your mum along to the session (as long as you feel relaxed, confident and comfortable with them).

You may choose to show as little or as much of your bump as you like. Many moms-to-be have stretch marks about which they may be concerned, but don’t let this put you off being photographed (I can always touch these up for you). If you would prefer to wear shape revealing clothes, neutral colours without any designs or logos are best. This will help emphasise your beautiful bump. This is the perfect time to celebrate your growing female form.

On enquiring I’ll send you an information pack with information about the session, what to expect, and how you can prepare for the day and ensure you make the most of your portrait session. A Booking Fee of £25 is required to secure your booking.

Please contact us as soon as possible after your 20 week scan to book your maternity and/or newborn baby portrait sessions (please see Newborn Baby Portrait Photography for more details). If your baby is due fairly soon, please enquire about availability, as I may be able to fit a session in for you. Currently, depending on availability, most portrait sessions take place on weekends.

The maternity portrait session may take place at your home (we can set up an in home studio), in your garden, a park, a field or any suitable outdoor location of your choice.

After the session, we arrange either a private viewing, or your images will be hosted on a secure web gallery.

Please note that the session fee does not include any prints or digital images and all lifestyle products are purchased separately.

Lifestyle Products

Lifestyle products are purchased separately and include prints (starting from £20 for a 6×4” print mounted ready to frame as 8×6”/high-resolution digital images from £35 each or up to 10 digital images at £250), frames, canvasses and albums. A video of the images from your portrait session put to music of your choice and ideal for viewing at home is also available.

Maternity Portrait Collection

This includes your maternity portrait session photographed at a location of your choice and includes 25 retouched high-resolution digital images as a digital download with copyright license for family and friends to be able to print their favourites.

Newborn Baby Collection

This includes photographing your newborn baby in the comfort of your home and includes 25 retouched high-resolution digital images as a digital download with copyright license for family and friends to be able to print their favourites.

All Inclusive Collection

This includes both a Maternity and a Newborn Baby Portrait Session and 25 retouched high-resolution digital images (chosen from either session) as a digital download as well as on a USB with a copyright license for family and friends to be able to print their favourites, presented in a luxury presentation box with ten favourite images as 8×6″ prints.

Premium Collection

This includes both a Maternity and a Newborn Baby Portrait Session and 50 retouched high-resolution digital images (chosen from either session) as a digital download as well as on a USB with a copyright license for family and friends to be able to print their favourites, presented in a luxury presentation box with ten favourite images as 8×6″ prints.

Bespoke Collections are also available upon request.
